COOKIE CHALLENGE

As an introduction to studying heat and mass transfer balances the students make chocolate dipped Oreos. They must carefully weigh each cookie before and after being dipped in chocolate. The students have to carefully account for all waste. In the end they have experienced a simple batch process. They have also learned first hand terminology to be used in the course.

The final result is a nutrition fact label for their product.

The best part about the challenge is getting to eat the end result!
