MATH 2073  Calculus III
Required course for ChE program

Catalog Description: Continuation of Math 2024. Vector geometry and calculus. Functions of several variables.  Partial and directional derivatives.  Double and triple integrals.  Line and surface integrals.   Divergence.   Green’s theorems. Prerequisite: Math 2024.

Textbook: Calculus: Single and Multivariable, 3nd Edition, Hughes-Hallett, Gleason, McCallum, et al., Wiley, 2002

Course Goals:  Competence in the multivariable calculus and its applications.

Prerequisites by Topic:  One year of single variable calculus

  • 5.      integrating functions of many variables
  • 6.      vector fields
